- Proven Expertise: With years of experience in senior leadership roles, including as a Board member of both the National Patient Safety Agency, NHS Resolution and having the privilege of leading the national Sign up to Safety Campaign, I understand the complexities of healthcare systems and how to embed sustainable safety practices. I have a clinical background so know what it is like to work in healthcare and have combined that with my academic achievements of a Masters in Clinical Risk and a Doctorate in Patient Safety.

- Being part of an amazing team at Guys and St Thomas’ as a paediatric intensive care nurse
- Providing strategic leadership for the national Patient Safety First Campaign
- Leading the national Sign up to Safety Campaign for six years
- Developing a systems approach to investigation at Great Ormond Street Hospital
- Leading complex national initiatives at the National Patient Safety Agency
- Helping set up the Safety and Learning team at NHS Resolution
- Co-authoring the Seven Steps to Patient Safety guidance for England and Wales
- Writing three books on patient safety
- Being awarded an honorary Doctorate of Science for my contribution to Patient Safety
